NYC Fire Commissioner Salvatore Cassano and Chief of Department Edward Kilduff invite you to attend the 2012 FDNY Symposium at the Fire Training Academy on March 15-16, 2012.

For two days, leaders of the FDNY will share their extensive experience on several core agency competencies, including: managing large scale fires and emergencies; safe handling and mitigation of hazardous materials incidents; techniques and strategies for effective arson investigations; and preparations and planning for acts of terrorism.

 
The Symposium will also feature members of the FDNY Safety Command detailing the methodology and process for conducting a comprehensive Firefighter Fatality investigation, and a panel discussion on obtaining government and other grant funding that will include FDNY grant writers and the current Chief of Special Operations.
